Delete your data

How to ask atithiai to delete your personal data, whether you’re a hotel guest, a hotel, or someone who contacted us.

Last updated 5 October 2026

How to ask

  1. Email hello@atithiai.in with the subject “Delete my data”, or send “Delete my data” on WhatsApp to +91 92511 16376.
  2. Tell us your name and the phone number or email address we have for you. If you’re a hotel guest, tell us which hotel you messaged.
  3. We may ask you to confirm the request from that same number or email address, so that no one else can delete your data.

What happens next

  • We confirm we’ve received your request within 2 working days.
  • We delete your data from our systems within 30 days and tell you when it’s done.
  • Copies in backups are overwritten in the normal backup cycle within a further 30 days.

If you’re a hotel guest

The hotel decides how your booking data is used, so we let the hotel know about your request. We delete your conversations, contact details and booking records held in atithiai, unless the hotel must keep a record for a legal reason, such as a completed booking or a tax invoice.

The hotel’s own records outside atithiai, such as its property management system or guest register, are managed by the hotel; please ask the hotel directly. The chat history on your own phone is controlled by WhatsApp: you can delete it there at any time.

If you’re a hotel

Ask us to close your account. We’ll send you an export if you want one, then delete your hotel settings, staff accounts, guest conversations and bookings within 30 days. You can also remove atithiai’s access to your WhatsApp Business account at any time in Meta Business Suite. We keep invoices and billing records only as long as tax law requires.

If you contacted us through this website

We delete your consultation request and our messages with you, and we stop contacting you.

What we may keep

Only what the law requires or allows us to keep: invoices and payment records, and information we need to handle a legal claim. We keep it securely and only for as long as necessary. More about how we handle data is on our Data & security page.
